This handmade 18ct yellow gold, Platinum and Marquise Parti Sapphire ring has perfect symmetry from the design of the ring to the colour banding in the ‘Eye’ shaped Sapphire. The purpose of this piece is highlight the beauty of the featured Sapphire. The heavy bevelled Platinum frame creates the stage for the stone, and the glass brush satin finish mutes the lustre of the Platinum and forms a soft focus around the Parti Sapphire like a spotlight.
The split band plays an important part in this ensemble as the spilt bring your eye into the iconic Marquise shape setting. Because the Sapphire has both warm and cool tones of yellow and blue I chose to continue that theme throughout the composition of the ring with the mixture of the Platinum and yellow gold
