Tourmaline “Striped Gold” drop Earrings

18ct yellow and white gold handmade “Striped Gold” trilliant cabochon Pink Tourmaline, Yellow Sapphire and Moonstone Earrings .

The “Striped Gold” effect is a design I created to try and give a softer feel to the gold. I assemble all the pieces of 18ct white and yellow and form it to the shape I want. Then I cut into each piece and step it down from the piece next to it, creating a saw tooth effect.Then I use a brushed finish on the “Striped” sections giving it a more muted feel a bit like the surface of some fabrics.
